The second game folder the game creates when you first time turning on the game. This folder by default is placed on C drive in Documents.

There is your current game - mods folder, saves folder, library - Tray folder and so on. If you will move this folder to another drive the game simply will create and use the next folder on C drive in Documents. So you have to move the whole Documents folder to another drive. How to do it depends on the system you are using.

When I first moved all the files over to the D drive I used this method of moving the entire documents folder and linking it to the D drive. My CC and saves loaded into the game, everything worked perfectly.

It'll say "Unrecognized video capture" or something like that. It was weird because when I had the folder named "Mods" it loaded my saves but no CC or mods, but the only things in that folder are Mods and CC Idk I'm pretty sure I messed everything up badly I made sure I have TS4 game installed on the D drive.

The picture is everything I have in my documents folder on the C drive. The second photo is everything on my D drive. Inside the Origin Games folder is TS4 game with a bunch of other folder in there I was able to move my Sims 4 game onto the D drive and that's working fine.

Sign In or Register. After moving successfully my original downloads folder to another drive in win10 I lost the ability to use the downloads function in my laptop if the drive is not plugged in. Thanks fir your time. It, just hate windows ten, never had any of these issues with xp, could do it all myself. Any help would be appreciated. It should have a Location tab.

Can you share a screenshot of the Downloads folder properties window? It helps know more about the issue. I did the same method but now both C and D has downloads folder. Should I delete downloads from C now? Yes, you can delete the old downloads folder.

To be on the safe side, make sure to backup all the important files before deleting them.
